Etymology: A compound of shas̲ ‟grizzly bear”, q.v., and ti ‟trail”, q.v.. The name of Kelly Road Secondary School in Prince George was changed to Shas Ti Kelly Road Secondary School in 2020 because the area is known to have had a large population of grizzly bears.
